These photos are from Finn Juhl’s house in Ordrup, near Copenhagen.
Danish architect, interior, and industrial designer, Finn Juhl was best known for his forward-thinking designs. He played a pivotal role in the development of Danish design in the 1940s and was instrumental in introducing Danish modern to America.
Finn Juhl and Inge-Marie Skaarup built their home in Ordrup with an "inside-out" philosophy, carefully planning the interior of each room before determining the exterior. In this space, Finn Juhl was able to seamlessly blend furniture design, arts, and crafts into a modern, functional interior, entirely on his own terms.
